A lovely, busy weekend

Well, what a great (if exhausting) weekend Stem had at The UK Wedding Show!  Once we’d negotiated the slightly mad roads around the ExCel Centre London, managing to get lost only a couple of times, we set up our stand with fabulous spring-time flowers and a collection of beautiful bouquets.

In planning the flowers we were going to use, we tried really hard to come up with a way of giving a good indication of Stem’s personality and creativity.  We hoped to create a slightly whimsical, magical display and I think it worked!

Quirky accessories, cute little brightly coloured birds, loads of seasonal foliage and branches of blossom looked absolutely gorgeous next to the fragrant narcissi and hyancinths, tulips, anemones and feverfew.  We even planted  jewel coloured primulas in teacups, milk-jugs and sugar bowls.

We had a smashing day working alongside Beauberry HouseShot by the SheriffKatie FineSLR Management and Eloise Prouse and were really frantically busy talking to lovely people on both days. Thanks to all of you who came to say hello!

  1. The other half of Stem Flowers completely agrees, the aching feet and sore throats we acquired from talking to all the bubbly and excited brides (and grooms) who came to visit Stem Flowers at The London Wedding Show were clearly worth it. We have already had lots of lovely feedback from your emails. Visitors enjoyed our joyful and quirky celebration of Spring flowers all commenting on the gorgeous vivid colours, heavenly fragrance and unique accessories and our chirpy cute birds made lots of brides to be smile. The Stem girls really enjoyed chatting to some of the gorgeous brides about bouquets. Many were wowed by the vintage inspired hand tied combination of “amnesia” and “sweet avalanche” roses. The “Captain Romance” and “Pink Persuasion” calla lilies melted some hearts and the feminine and sophisticated elegance of the wintry white carnations positively delighted and astonished.

For two days Stem Flowers worked alongside Beaubery House, SLR Management, Shot by the Sheriff, Katie Fine and Elosie Prowse making the South Side stand fizz with activity. It was a melting pot of creative talent and all from sunny South London !

The Stem Flower girls are now busy replying to all the interested brides and answering lots of your bridal flower questions. “Thank you” again for coming to visit us especially as it was such a cold and snowy weekend. We are already looking forward to working imaginatively with many of the brides we met to create gorgeous and exquisite wedding flowers because that is the magic and passion of the Stem Flowers.
